RADIOGRAPHY TEST AND FILM INTERRETATION

Training for Radiographic Testing (RT) (Aligned with ASME, ASTM, ISO & SNT-TC-1A)

Radiographic Testing (RT) is an NDT method that uses X-rays or Gamma rays to produce images of internal structures, enabling detection of volumetric defects such as porosity, slag inclusions, and lack of fusion.

This training program is conducted in accordance with ASME Section V, ASTM E94 / E1030, ISO 17636, and SNT-TC-1A. The course covers radiation principles, exposure techniques, film processing, image quality indicators (IQIs), and radiographic interpretation.

Strong emphasis is placed on radiation safety, regulatory requirements, and safe handling of radioactive sources. Practical sessions include exposure setup, film evaluation, and defect interpretation on weld radiographs.

The program prepares participants for RT Level I and Level II certification, enabling them to work in refineries, pressure vessel fabrication, pipelines, structural fabrication, and inspection agencies.
